QUIETER, SMARTER, RELIABLE
Start with the battery. If the wall button still opens the door but the remote doesn’t, it’s usually the remote battery or a remote that needs reprogramming to the opener. If nothing works, the opener’s logic board or wiring may be the problem. A tech can pin it down quickly.
It depends on the type. A standard belt-drive opener costs less than a wall-mount or a smart opener with a camera, plus keypad and remote setup. We quote the installed price up front, including removing and recycling the old unit.
A well-installed opener sized correctly for the door typically lasts on the order of ten to fifteen years with light maintenance. Openers that are undersized for a heavy door, or run dozens of times a day, wear out sooner. We size the opener to the door so it isn’t straining every cycle.
For most homes, a belt-drive LiftMaster or Chamberlain is the sweet spot, quiet and reliable. A wall-mount unit is worth it if you want the ceiling clear and the lowest vibration, especially under a room over the garage. We recommend by how you use the garage, not by what’s most expensive.
Often, yes. Many recent openers accept a Wi-Fi add-on, and if yours does not, a new smart opener gives you phone control, alerts, and a camera option. We will tell you which path fits your unit.
Usually. A belt-drive or wall-mount opener runs much quieter than an older chain drive, and worn rollers and dry hinges add most of the racket. We will tell you whether it is the opener or the hardware.
Yes. A battery backup opener keeps the door working during a power outage, which matters when the garage is the only way in or out. Many current LiftMaster and Chamberlain models include it.
The steps vary by brand and model. We set up and test every remote and keypad on an install, and if yours stopped working we can reprogram it or replace it during a service call.
